Famous for Meats
Each summer, we hire three interns to run Famous for Meats, a working agency within and under the guidance of Fresh Produce. We’re looking for folks with a fresh perspective who want to learn and challenge themselves by working for real clients. You’ll also help produce an Ipso Gallery art opening.
We’ll keep an eye on things and offer advice when needed, but once you’re selected, Famous for Meats is your agency to run.
We hire our top three candidates based on their applications and interviews. There are positions available in the following disciplines:
Our writers are largely responsible for just about everything you can imagine a writer being responsible for. Mostly you’ll help articulate big ideas across a wide variety of tactics and freak people out. A background in creative writing helps.
There are a lot of designers that can make something look cool; that’s not what we’re about. We’re looking for artists who understand the power of a big idea, with the confidence to bring it to life in an unexpected way, and the desire to make special things forever. Plus we love it when stuff looks good.
We’re looking for a positive force of nature, a cunning warrior with various skills. Some different things that are important in this role are communication skills, passion, attention to detail, ability to make friends, having fun, time management, also you need to like the feeling of being completely out of control, yet in command of the situation.
Famous For Meats is open to people with creative and ambitious spirits who are interested in the world of advertising. Meatheads are full-time interns who are paid for 40 hours per week. The internship runs each summer from early June through our Ipso Gallery show in early August.
Applications are due each year in early February. We’ll select a group of finalists to interview for the three available positions and have our Famous For Meats team in place each year by late February.
No cover letters, please. Just tell us everything we should know about you in your resume and a postcard. Make sure you tell us which position you’re interested in and include a link to your online portfolio, if you have one.
