Utilizing the state’s most abundant water source—the Missouri River—Dakota Mainstem is working to create long-term access to clean, safe water for communities in Eastern South Dakota. To gain funding and support from key legislators, Dakota Mainstem needed a memorable brand to communicate the project’s urgency and earn its audience’s trust. Together, we settled on an appropriate yet distinct mark paired with bold earth tones and type. We also built a simple website to summarize the need, answer questions, and encourage supporters to stay engaged with the project.
