Art Gallery in Ad Agency Launches Book Written by Radio Personality

Sioux Falls, SD—August 24, 2016—Thomas “News” McGill, best known as “News From Pierre” from the SDPB radio show Rock Garden Tour, released his first collection of stories, The Owl is Great at Being Silent, on Friday, August 12, at an Ipso Gallery reception held in honor of his work.

To celebrate the release of The Owl is Great At Being Silent, Ipso tapped nine different artists to create nine new works inspired by stories from the book. McGill met with fans and signed copies of the book for over two hours during the reception, pausing only for a live reading of the book’s titular story.

Before he got to the story, McGill took a moment to compliment the artwork on display, and to reflect on his time as a contributor to Rock Garden Tour.
“It comes down to one word,” said McGill. “Love.”
